core values

Holistic worship and learning is:

Biblical.
The Bible is God’s flawless message.  All teaching and worship must find its place in God’s word.

Organic in context.
God’s message for us is not merely logical.  It is deepened by the beautiful organic context / story of the who, when, where, why, and how of God’s word.

Relevant to culture.
Humans don’t just employ verbal language.  Humans communicate from a cultural vantage point as well.  It is impossible for a church to proclaim God’s message void of cultural context.  Therefore, the culture that you choose to communicate from has a great impact on the demographic that you reach.

Experiential.  We live in an experience driven society.  Almost every successful brand provides more than just a brand.  They provide an experience.  And while the church is not a brand—emphasis not being placed on emotion, and truth not being derived from experience—we are short changing our ministries to assume that we can just provide logical Christian discourse
and enter into redemptive relationships with an experience driven society.

Multi-sensory.
People learn in a variety of ways.  Some people are visual learners.  Some people are auditory learners.  Some people are tactile learners.  Some people are kinesthetic learners.  Why doesn’t the church employ the same tactics that so many educational systems do?  We should provide as many different avenues of worship as possible.  We shouldn’t strive for variety for variety’s sake, but we should take art, music, food, aroma, interior design, movement, and our knowledge of how humans learn and experience and make efforts to apply them to our worship design.
